Dear RIG members,
19% and Rising
Thanks to everyone who has updated us with their amended holdings in the past 2 days. If RIG's membership is representative of the wider shareholder base then investors are accumulating rather than offloading as the number of shares held by RIG members has swelled to 840m - 19% of the company's expanded shares in Issue (we would be c. 25% at the point RIG was formed 8 months ago which is a sobering thought). Please could anyone who has yet to update us of increases or decreases please do so - it is important that we accurately record our membership.
Voting at the General Meeting
As you may be aware, it was announced by Range yesterday that there will be a General Meeting on 11 July at which three resolutions will be voted upon. Please see the following link for the full announcement:
www.rangeresources.com.au/framework/documents/displaydocument.asp?doc=1216
This General Meeting will be preceded on 1 July by an Investor Call - partially to discuss the forthcoming General Meeting:

RIG believes that there are several questions private investors require answers to before being able to vote on the resolutions in an informed manner - particularly with regard to resolution 3 where little is provided in the explanatory statement. We will therefore be writing to Range Resources in the coming day or two to relay the many questions we have received from our members - please let us know if there are any queries you would like us to put to the company.
We would encourage members to make sure they are familiar with the mechanism for voting with their particular broker but not to vote until RIG has received a response to its letter and/or the Investor Call has taken place (should your broker arrangements allow - paper voting can take 2 weeks).
Please find attached the broker-by-broker instructions compiled by RIG of how to vote with the 20 most popular brokers so that you can be prepared to place your vote - please check lead-times with your broker to make sure your vote will reach Range in time. Voting is the primary mechanism by which we as shareholders can directly influence the decision making of the company we own - we therefore strongly encourage shareholders to make sure they place their vote.
The RIG representatives will not advocate voting in any particular way - we just encourage all PIs to please vote.
Before RIG's inception, voting turnout was 6%, this rose to 10% in November 2013 and most recently to 16% in March 2014. We welcome this trend and hope that private investors can demonstrate their engagement to the company by continuing it further.
Best regards,
The RIG Representatives
