The message below went out to all RIG members on the email distribution lists this evening. If you are not on the email lists, please let us know!
======
Dear RIG member,
As you will probably be aware, Range Resources Ltd is holding a General Meeting on 27th March. There are five resolutions being put to the meeiting, one for the major Core Capital financing and four proposing the granting of Director Share Options. The Notice of Meeting, together with a detailed analysis of the Core proposal by RSM Bird, was issued on 24th February and can be found here:
www.rangeresources.co.uk/framework/documents/displaydocument.asp?doc=1310
A copy of the PDF document is attached to this email for your immediate ease of reference.
Earlier this week Range released a Q&A session dealing with questions which had been submitted by shareholders in respect of the Notice of Meeting, including those sent to RIG by its members up to last week. These are here:
www.rangeresources.co.uk/framework/documents/displaydocument.asp?doc=1312
A copy of that PDF is also attached.
All that remains is for shareholders to vote. We strongly encourage all RIG members to vote. In most cases it's very simple. As an example, one of the reps holding shares through TD Direct Investing has voted this evening by phone and it was a painless process which took just a couple of minutes.
Please find attached the latest version of RIG's broker-by-broker guide, to complete the trio of PDFs, which you may find useful.
RIG reps cannot vote on behalf of members and do not feel it is their place to direct members which way to vote (For, Against or Abstain) on each resolution, only that RIG members should vote. If, after reviewing the information available within this email, you still don't know which option to select, or you feel reluctant to vote decisively pro or anti, you should consider voting Abstain - that way it still sends a message to the company that yes, you are engaged and interested. With broker deadlines looming, you'll probably need to vote by the end of next week - check your individual broker. Over to you!
As always, feedback on the voting process is welcome to help us improve the broker guide in the future. Thanks to all those who have sent in questions for the Q&As, plus other comments and opinions - please keep them coming as it assists us in representing you. Thanks too for all the shareholding updates, which have helped validate the RIG membership figures. If you haven't yet advised us of your holding this year, please do so, so we can be as up to date and accurate as may reasonably be expected.
Thanks and regards,
The RIG Representatives
